"Mary treasured up all these things..."

Josh and Beth Paulick on January 5, 2017

“But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.”  Luke 2:19.  These words have been going through my (Beth’s) mind a lot this Christmas season.  Especially as one of the songs that has been on repeat in our house has been “Mary, did you know?”  A few nights ago as I was putting Isaiah to bed, I was holding him and thinking, “I wonder who he is going to be someday?”  After that I started wondering how Mary must have felt holding her newborn baby.  She already knew who this baby she was holding was going to be, but I wonder if at that point she fully grasped all that he would become and do.  This has been on my heart during the Christmas season.
We were thankful to have some down time over December although we were still traveling just as much visiting family.  Elijah had a Christmas program for his preschool and was able to play Joseph.  It was fun getting to watch him.  One of the other things this Christmas season we enjoyed was getting to go through a devotional, “Why Christmas?” with the kids that Josh and I learned a lot from too.  It was a wonderful reminder of the real reason we have to celebrate.  The kids have definitely enjoyed Christmas.  So much so that Elijah is still begging me not to take down the Christmas tree yet.  We have one more family Christmas this Saturday, so I told him we can wait until next week.
We have had a few verbal commitments that will put us at 47%!  We are getting closer to our goals, but we need to be at 85% by the end of March in order to be able to leave for language school in August.  It has definitely been encouraging to have new partners.  We are excited to see what God has been doing and trust in what He will continue to do.  We know we have so many people praying for us and are thankful for that.  Please let us know if you have anything we can be praying for you as well!  We love hearing from you!
