Josh and Beth Paulick on September 12, 2016

Matthew 11: 28-29 says, “Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”  July was a month of “resting” in a sense.  We started our two week “vacation” with Missionary Enrichment conference.  We were so encouraged during our time there.  We loved getting to spend some time with fellow missionaries, worshipping and fellowshipping with them.

After we left, we were able to spend some time with our friends, Beth and Tom Hughes, their daughter Katie and meet baby Will.  We were also able to spend some time with Beth’s brother and sister-in-law, seeing their girls, Erianna and Danica and meeting baby Keegan.  It was so encouraging being able to spend time with friends and family.  This time of being with friends and family was so refreshing to our hearts.

August was spent completing a three-week training on partner development.  We learned a lot during the three weeks and enjoyed our time in the class.

We have been slowly working on slowly learning French.  It’s been fun watching Elijah trying to learn the words too and putting them together with English.  Such as “S’il vous plait have a blanket” (Please have a blanket).  Now we just have to teach him to say the rest in French.

Elijah started preschool this week and enjoyed his first day, although he couldn’t tell us anything he learned other than about the letter A.  Avery has been dancing around the house and playing as a ballerina, so we signed her up for tiny tot ballet lessons.  So far she has enjoyed them.

We started a puzzle to show how our partnership development is going.  Each puzzle piece represents $25 in support.  When we have 100% our monthly support committed the puzzle will be completed and we will able to head off to language school after our required trainings are completed.  We will start posting our regular updates as well as when we receive a new partner on our Facebook page, Paulicks to Togo.  (If you are on Facebook, you can like us there).
