"Pray without ceasing"

Josh and Beth Paulick on November 1, 2015

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.  Wow!  We can not believe it has been almost 4 months since we returned from Togo and 3 months since we updated everyone!  A lot has happened in those 3 months.  As most of you know, we welcomed Isaiah Jude into our family on August 31st at 10:45pm.  He was 8 pounds and 20 and 3/4 inches long :)

This has been a tough transition for us as a family.  Josh has been called in for surgery in the middle of the night more since Isaiah was born than I think he has almost the entire 3 years we’ve lived here. We absolutely adore our 3 children, but are definitely a lot more worn out these last couple of months.  We have been learning a lot about praying without ceasing during this season and are still working through this transition, but the Lord has definitely blessed us with these three beautiful children.

We visited a few churches since the last time we updated.  We are now up to 22% of our total support.  We hope to start traveling to more churches in the upcoming days to increase our financial and prayer support.  We would really like to be at 25% by the new year.  This would be 4 people or churches supporting us at $50 a month, 8 at $25/month, or 2 people/churches at $100 a month.  Please let us know if you want to help us reach that goal!  We have packets we are sending to pastors (please let us know if you know someone who would be willing to look over our material and possibly have us come share our ministry.)  We are still trying to achieve our goal of leaving for language school in January of 2017, but that is now just a little over a year away so we have a lot to do in this next year.  We are excited to see what the Lord is going to do in the new year and the next few months!
A note from the Hospital of Hope, they are in need of just about any Doctors in the month of December, and some during 2016.  We will get you in contact with the right people if you are interested, just let us know!  As Kelly Faber, our pediatrician said, “No snow guaranteed.” :)  There is a story from the Hospital of Hope that occurred in August that is quite interesting that we wanted to share.  This is from the pediatrician Kelly Faber…

“So this just happened:
Nurse to me: HURRY! There is a baby underneath a woman's bed!
Me: WHAT?! (As I'm running in to find a tiny baby still inside an intact amniotic sac with placenta attached, underneath a woman's bed that had an urgent hernia repair hours before)
NURSE: I didn't even know she was pregnant
Me: WHAT?! (As I tear open the sac with my hands to find a tiny, but alive, premie inside)
Craziness ensues and when it is all said and done, we have a new 27.5 week premature girl here at the Hospital of Hope, weighing 920grams.”

Praises and Prayer:

Praise for Isaiah’s safe arrival

Pray that God would continue to raise up ministry partners (medical staff, pastoral/church planters, prayer and financial supporters)

Pray that we would find enough doctors to staff the Hospital of Hope for the month of December and 2016.

Praise for the addition of financial supporters over the last couple of months.
