Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Josh and Beth Paulick on January 5, 2016

“(8) And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. (9) And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. (10) And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. (11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (12) And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. (13) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, (14) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:8-14)  With having a four year old, we have been watching a lot of a Charlie Brown Christmas.  I still enjoy hearing Linus explain the real meaning of Christmas.  Christmas time always gets really busy, and this year was no different.  With our wedding anniversary on the 5th, Eli’s birthday on the 14th and Josh on call, we had something going on every weekend of December.  It was a good month, just busy.  In the busyness of the month though, we continued trying to remind our children why we celebrate Christmas.

During the month of December, we were able to celebrate with our friends and teammates Bryce and Natasha Nattier when we attended their commissioning service. They just arrived in France this last week for language school. Please be praying for them and their four children as they go through this exciting time of transition.

Although on paper, we are still at 22%, we have had a few commitments that put us at almost 30%, so we are very excited about that increase and meeting a personal goal of reaching 25% by the new year!  We are still praying that it would be the Lord’s will for us to be leaving this time next year for language school. Pray that we would be able to figure out child care while we are in language school, many families have a nanny that comes with them from the states, let us know if you know anyone that would be interested. Our next goal would be to be at 50% by May. This would allow us attend a training in July. Please be praying with us that we can reach this goal. If you feel God is leading you to help us meet this goal by giving financially please let us know. Another way you can help is if you know any pastors or churches that would be interested in hearing more about our ministry let us know so we can send them more information
It is exciting hearing news from the team in Mango, just a couple of weeks ago we heard report that there were 5 new believers baptized in a town near the hospital and they are looking to find a place to meet to start their own church in the village. It is amazing at how God is working in Togo and we look forward to seeing how God will use us in the furtherance of the Good News.

Prayer and Praises:

Praise about the ways the Lord is working in Togo and that people are responding to the gospel.
Praise that we met our goal of reaching 25% support by the new year
Pray that we would be able to meet our goal of 50% support and be able to attend the next training at ABWE headquarters
